Digi-ID lets you sign in with your phone instead of a password.
What is it?
Digi-ID is a way to prove it's you with a DigiByte wallet app on your phone. You scan a code and tap approve, instead of typing a password.
What does it do here?
It's another way to sign in to your Earthlings account. Your email and password still work. Digi-ID just saves you typing, and there's no password to remember or email code to wait for.
What it won't do
- It costs nothing and never asks you to pay.
- It can't move or spend your coins. A DigiByte wallet is crypto software, but you don't need to hold any coins to use Digi-ID.
- It doesn't create an account. You need an Earthlings account first.
- It doesn't confirm your email address, so publishing your page still needs a confirmed email.
- We keep only a wallet address, shown shortened, so we know it's you. You can unlink it at any time.

How to use it
- Get a DigiByte wallet that supports Digi-ID. See the wallets (opens in new tab). You don't need Digi-ID: signing in the usual way always works.
- Sign in the usual way, open Settings, find the Digi-ID section and choose Link Digi-ID, then scan the code (or tap Open wallet on a phone). Approve the request in your wallet.
- Next time, choose Continue with Digi-ID on the sign-in page, scan the code or tap Open wallet, and approve.
Stay safe
- Only scan a code you opened yourself, on your own screen.
- Codes expire after 5 minutes. You can always get a new one.
- If you lose your phone, sign in with your email, unlink the old Digi-ID, and link a new one.
